~ New chemicals burning into the air for ALL to inhale~

Well, minority as I may be, I am the new politically un-correct 21st century piranha – the “smoker” and I am not ashamed to say it. This is ridiculous! I am speaking about the new flame retardant papers that are being forces on all smokers. It happened in New York a few years back, now New Hampshire and nationwide soon. Down south, states have banned together to make it punishable by fines and IMPRISIONMENT if you cross their state lines to get a cheaper price for cartons of cigarettes – this is ludicrous! So by this new law, it is indeed feasible for a person to go to jail for buying and bringing their cigarettes over state lines while a child molester, rapist or worse receives probation – c’mon, priorities are definitely flawed. What is everyone thinking????
The price of my brand of cigarette went up between $3.00-$4.00 a few weeks back to cover the cost of this bright idea!
On the same premise, we should tax alcohol more and wrap all of those bottles in flame retardant paper because they may explode on impact and near fire. But, no, that won’t happen. There are obviously too many bureaucrats that enjoy their drink!
Because someone was careless, all smokers are punished by higher prices on cigarettes for these undesired and un-asked for papers on their cigarette.
I love the US but if some one makes a stink enough, bearcats turn into a bunch of wussies. Whine, whine, whine!
And I do not want to hear how second hand smoke makes this everyone’s fight – with the smoker the “criminal”. There are just as many arguments and facts that people who smoked their whole lives never got cancer, etc as there are for the reverse so let’s not go there.
Government has once again forced their decisions on an “undesirable” group of people – the smoker.
In the near future it will be an illegal act and the only safe place will be to smoke in your own home, under the covers in bed between the hours of 6:00pm-11:00pm!
Yes, I chose to keep smoking for now – I enjoy it. I am aware that this action MAY cause/pose health risks but NOW, a new chemical has been added – one which I did not get to vote on. On my cigarette it tastes terrible and goes out all on it’s own – wonderful! Survival of the fittest I guess, huh?
You may think – good, quit all of you smokers! – The point you all miss is that it is my right to smoke.
Airplanes, restaurants, enclosed places – I concur. I will go outside into the FREE air to do my “dirty deed”.
No one took a democratic vote on these new flame retardant cigarette papers nor to passing the cost onto me by raising the prices of cigarettes. Smoking prices are high enough - tax alcohol more!
Like the “complaintee” before me, I will start rolling my own within the month.
Good rolling machine – 50.00 (one time fee)
Bag of tobacco to last a month – 13.00
Filters for a month – 6.00
Cost to me per month – PRICLESS – under $20.00
As with seat belt laws before – no vote taken.
Under 18 should be fined, over 18, it’s our choice obviously.
Okay all of you piranhas, the saying IS true – There is power in numbers – and we lost!

I am sure more people smoke than are willing to admit...either by choice, or, let's face it...Smoking is addictive.
To purposly add an additional harmful substance seems to me, Illegal(maybe?), immoral and cruel.

I remembe when cigarettes were 25 cents and 50 cents a pack.
I cannot believe how much they cost today? They increased
the chemicals in them to keep you addicted so you will pay
those high prices, to me this is just legal drug pushers.
And now this new improved paper that goes out easily?

I think all smokers need to boycot all Companies and send
a message to them, Lower your product if your gonna take
away from the quality.
