M/s. Baskin Robbins has recently started a store in our neighborhood i.e I.C.Colony, Borivili (W). Today along with the newspaper we received a Pamphlet regarding the BUY ONE GET ONE FREE Scheme offered by them.
I placed an order for One Large Pack at 2 p.m, and received the delivery after approx. 4 hours.
To my utter dismay the pack was only 3/4th full , when i contacted the BR outlet, i was informed that the said ice-cream was sold on weight. However in the pamphlet distributed by the company and the Ice-cream tub there is no mention of the weight. Neither did the person taking the order inform about the weight.
When the pamphlet quotes prices for Regular HandPack and Large HandPack it implies that the customer will be getting that size tub full for the price quoted.
Thus the company is misleading and misrepresenting to the customers and also cheating a large number of customers.
When the undersigned called up the outlet to complain about the above fact, the person handling the phone was very rude and challenged me to complaint to whomsover i wanted.
The above act from a company like Baskin Robbins is unwarranted and tantamounts to cheating, misrepresentation and misleading the customers, The company should compensate for the mental agony harrassment caused to me and also for selling less quantity than advertised.
