i booked a 2 bedroom apartment through italian connection in April 07 I paid £2000 holding fee and £50000 half of the price in October 07. The apartments where meant to be finished May 09. They are not even started yet as building contol hasn,t been approved and Italian Connection have not contacted me once and refuse to refund my money

It's always risky dealing with Italian commerce. You need to be sure the company has a proven track record due to a lot of corruption in the country. It's unfortunate - such a lovely country too!

We also paid the reservation fee and 50 per cent and are currently fighting to get our money back. Maybe the newspapers mught be interested as I know there are several other people in the same position.Have a look at the incalabria website too.

Given the scale of this as there seems to be millions of Euros involved in this perhaps the guardia finaza sould be notified and the whole thing investigated properly.
