I 'am a real estate agent in denver and thought it would be wise to advertise an open house section in the paper. Not so much. I paid my 95.00, the check was received and cleared the bank a few days later. A couple months then go by, this was in Aug of 06 mind you. I then begin to receive delinquant account notices. I make a couple of phone calls who then direct me to this person and that. After 3 months of these constant notices I feel confident the converstion i had with someone handling my account has cleared up the problem. At this point they have the check #, date, and when it cleared the bank- Great! Never mind, here come more and more notices and not a single person can help me. Here we are into March of 07! I now have received a notice in the mail reguarding my credit- this is crazy. I finally deal with somoene compitent at the News who has "taken care" of this mater, 7 months later. I guess only more time will tell. The bottom line is sometimes it just doesn't matter how responsible you are, your credit can be screwed in a matter of seconds-do you think I'd ever advertise again with the News? You guessed it.
