Charging me for their error from a year ago

For the past year or so my monthly charges for phone and internet with Telus have been the same until suddenly on my Sept/08 bill I noticed an extra month's charge for the internet. Contacting the womderful Telus customer service I was informed the extra charge was for a "Syatem Error" that occured back in Sept /07. Yes... a year ago. No letter. No phone call. Just put on the bill with no explaination. Can you believe these crooks??
As you can imagine, talking to Telus is a waste of time. I refused to pay it. Telus's error not mine and told the rep I'll pay the usual. She agreed and said I would be contacted later that week.
Now a another month has past and no one from Telus contacted me.
I see the charges are still on my bill, and now charging me interest on the extra charge.
I can't believe the extent Telus will go to screw someone over.
A large corporation like that going after the little guy for their mistakes..especially a mistake on their part that occured a year ago.
For those who are looking to get phone ot internet service..look for an alernative to Telus. You'll be glad you did!!!!
