all-around improper business practices
I, too, seem to have lost over $100 by attempting to do business with SellBackBooks.com. Instead of wasting bricks, I suggest lodging a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (www.bbb.org). If they get enough complaints about this one company, perhaps they will lodge a formal investigation against them.

Just wanted to give anyone who wants it the phone # to Sellbackbooks.com. I found it by searching for the address. The number is (859) 514-5200. I tried it and did receive a message that they are closed right now (which they would be because it is after 5pm EST), but I am going to try again tommorow.
