I was at a 1st Cav., C Co., 1st Bn. 5th Cav. reunion in Arlington, VA. We faught in Vietnam. The language barrier was greater at the hotel than it was in Vietnam. Furthermore, I know for sure that I made reservations from 6/29/07 until 7/05/07. However, when I woke up at 10:00 am on 07/04/07 there was a bill that had been shoved under the door stating that the check out date was 07/04/07. In my haste I left two bags of clothing there. When I called to report my loss, they wanted to send tea bags, two bags of my dirty laundry, up to room 606 which I had previosly occupied. I am just a poor grunt, infantry. I will probably not see my clothes again - at least send me tea bags. Dave Thomas.
