I'm sick and tired of seeing great shows canceled and amazing movies pushed aside just because they aren't full of the potty humor and dumb jokes that mainstream america understands. My favorite show, Arrested Development which has received six Emmy's including outstanding comedy was canceled due to lack of ratings. Ugh. And I just tried to look up a saturday showing of the movie, The Darjeeling Limited directed by Wes Anderson, which was an incredible film and of course today is the last day due to low box office sales. It hasn't even aired for a month and it was one of the best movies I've seen in a long time. It actually had substance. God people, what is it about American Gangster and Beowolf that is so fascinating? The special effects, the blood, the gore, the death. What is the meaning and what do you get from those types of movies?? It just kills me to see films/shows that are just a tad different and even insightful get pushed over for mainstream reality tv and terribly pathetic hollywood flicks. F*** braindead american media. F*** it.
